  • 1 Pound Dry Navy Beans
  • 29 Ounces Tomato Sauce One Large Can
  • 1 Cup Onion Diced
  • 1/2 Cup Bell Pepper Diced
  • 1 Cup Brown Sugar Packed
  • 1/4 Cup Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 Pound Bacon Cooked Medium

  • Soak the beans for about 1 day, overnight works great. The package directions will be helpful if needed.
  • Boil the beans until soft, follow the package directions for time.
  • Preheat the smoker to about 300 Degrees F.
  • Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and mix until well combined.
  • Pour the cooked beans into a pan for smoking, we like the aluminum foil pans for easy transporting, clean up, and smoking.
  • Add the sauce to the pan and mix until everything is coated really well.
  • Put the beans on the smoker uncovered for about 3 hours.
  • Halfway through we added about 2 cups of water or ham broth and stirred the beans to make sure they didn't dry out.
